MRS. DELLA A. MILLS succumbs in Monroe, hold rites Monday

Funeral services were held Monday at 2:30 P.M. from the First Baptist
Church here for Mrs. Della A. Mills, 70, of Oak Grove, who died Sunday in a Monroe hospital.

The Rev. J.D. Chetham, pastor, officated at the rites, interment was in Oak Grove under the
direction of Gays Funeral Home

Mrs. Mills is survied by two sons, Russel L. Thornton of Phenixville,
Penn. and Corley W. Thornton of Aurora, Ill, three daughters, Mrs.
Clara Motley and Mrs. Opal Dean of Haynesville, La and Mrs. Elsie Avery
of New Orleans, La.; three brothers; George Erskine of Eros, La. Henry
Erskine of Callion Ark., Monroe Erskine of Sikes, La. and one sister,
Emma Hatten of West Monroe, La.; 16 grandchildren, and 14 greatgrand-
children.
