OLDHAM DIES IN DELHI DELHI, Feb. 15 (Special) Robert W. Oldham, 74, died Monday at 1:05 p.m. at the Delhi Clinic, following a lengthy illness. He was a retired farmer and his daughter is the wife of State Agricultural Commissioner Dave L. Pearce. He was a member of the Church of God at New Hope, LA, for a number of years. He was a resident of Darnell. On Nov. 10, 1953 he and his wife, who survives him celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. He had been very active in farming projects until his recent retirement in West Carroll Parish where he was born and reared. Oldham had been an enforcement agent for the LA Wildlife and Fisheries Commission. The body will lie in state at the home about four miles west of Darnell, where services will be held 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, with Rev. M. W. Kennedy, pastor of Good Will Church of God, officiating, assisted by Mrs. M. W. Kennedy. Burial will be in Epps Cemetary. He is survived by his wife, Ida; three sons, Malcolm, Pioneer; John, Baton Rouge; Edward, Baton Rouge; four daughters, Mrs. D. L. Pearce, Baton Rouge; Mrs. W. L. Halley, Epps; Mrs. M. L. Vining, Oak Grove; Mrs. E. D. Pearce, Baton Rouge; 26 grandchildren, three great grand children. Pallbearers will be Capt. Edmond Smith, Clyde Scharock, Bildbo Ford, Frank Burgess, Quinton Fortenbery, Chapman McGhee, Henry Albritton, all of them game wardens. Catron-Gay Funerla Home in Delhi will be in charge of services. ###
