Perkins,76, Drops Dead Tuesday;Rites to Be Sunday John F. Perkins, 76,, of Green community, dropped dead Tuesday morning as he was about to enter Biggs clinic here. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at three o'clock from the Herringville Baptist church. Mr. Perkins who had recently been making his home with a daughter, Mrs. Vernice Pevytoe, died instantly of a heart attack as he muonted the steps of the north entrance of the clinic. Dr. T.G. Biggs Jr., said that death probably resulted from a heart attack and Dr. E.D. Butler parish corner, concurred, following his examination. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Julia Perkins, Arcadia,Calif.; four sons, Charles and Allie, of Arcadia, Calif.; Roy W. of Jackson, Miss., Bishop, of Pioneer; four daughters, Mrs. R. Boatright, of Memphis, Tenn Mrs. Ruby Flannagan, of Okla. Mrs. Pevytoe, and Mrs. Mary Martin, Epps; three sisters and 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. My Note: John Frank Perkins was my grandfather. He was born in Bardstown, Ark. the son of Henry and Mary E. Bennett Perkins.
