A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 1, 2003, at Cove Baptist Church in Orange with Reverend Jeff Bell, pastor, officiating. Cremation will be under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, February 28, 2003, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Born in Epps, Louisiana on December 5, 1927, Mrs. Plunkett had lived in Orange for the past 59 years. She was co-owner of Coastal Lumber & Supply Company in Orange and a member of Cove Baptist Church also in Orange. She was preceded in death by her parents Reginal and Bessie Nolan, sisters, Jean Hill and Verlene Yancy, and brother, Vernon Nolan. She is survived by her husband, Jarvis Plunkett of McLewis Community; two daughters and their husbands, Pat and Brian Broussard of Orange; and Charlotte and Harlis Underwood of Sour Lake; sister, Mildred Sims of Epps, Louisiana; four grandchildren, Debbie Bean and husband, Cory; Todd Purifoy and wife Kim; David Underwood and wife Lori; and Ben Purifoy and wife Erin; and seven great grandchildren, Blake, Brock, Brett, Kylie, Garrett, Britni, and Bradley.
