Puckett, 77 year old resident of the Green Community, were conducted last Friday at the Ebenezer cemetery, Jackson Parish, with the Rev. W.L. Strains, of Simsboro, officiating. Mr. Puckett died at his home last Thrusday at 7:55p.m. Pneumonia was given as the cause of death. Surviving aare five daughters, Mrs. Ella McVay of Forest, Mrs. T.J. Nicholas of Boyce, Mrs. H. Alexander of Hodge, Mrs. A. P. Cheshire of Calhoun, Mrs. L.A. Bazard of Montogomery; three sons, W.F. ; A.B. ;and J.B. Puckett all of Oak Grove; two brothers, Bruster Puckett of George- town and Tom Puckett of Oak Grove and three sisters, Mrs. Sallie Green of Jonesboro, Mrs. Fannie Nesbit of New Orleans and Mrs. Kate Hawthorne of Quitman. The deceased was born in Lincoln Parish January 26, 1863. He moved to Jackson Parish while a young man, then moving to West Carroll in 1923, where he lived until his death.
