          MOTHER, SISTER OF PARISH RESIDENTS DIES AT SIKES

Funeral services for Mrs. P.W. Smith, 68, well-known Winn Parish 
resident and mother of J. Wayland Smith of Oak Grove and sister of
Henry and Jesse James of Oak Grove, were conducted at Sikes Friday
at 3:00 p.m., with the Rev. Jno. R. Campbell, pastor of the Oak Grove
Baptist church, officating.

Mrs. Smith succumbed to heart trouble at her home in Sikes, Thrusday 
night.

Survivors are two sons, Stanley Smith of Sikes and J. Wayland Smith of
Oak Grove; two sisters, Mrs. Ellen Sowers of Winnfield and Mrs. S.A.
Dark of San Antonio, Tex.; two brothers, Henry and Jesse James of Oak
Grove.
