PIONEER, LA - Funeral services for Randall Gibson Vining, age 95, of Pioneer, LA, will be 3:30 PM Sunday, July 18, 1999 at Cox Chapel-OAk Grove with Rev. James Hays officiating. Burial will follow in the New Forest Cemetery in Forest,LA under the direction of Cox Funeral Homes of 200 East Noble Street, Oak Grove, LA. Randall Gibson Vining died Friday, July 16,1999 at Glenwood Medical Center in West Monroe, LA. Mr. Vining was a longtime resident of East Carroll Parish. He was a graduate of LSU in 1925. He taught school and coached at Forest High School. He was a cotton buyer and farmer in Lake Providence and New Orleans, LA. Affectionately known as "Gip", Mr. Vining served East Carroll Parish as a police juror and a school board member. He and his wife Mildred loved to travel. Survivors include his wife: Edith Mildred Vining of Pioneer, LA; brother: Mike Vining of Goodwill, LA and a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be his nephews: Charles L. Vining, Jr., Charles L. Vining, III, Robert Vining, Michael Vining, Henry Lee Lafferty, Gary Vining, Jeff Donald and Harry Vining.
