VINING DIES The artical below was clipped from last weeks edition of the Eudora, Ark., Enterprise, and will be of interest to many Gazette readers. Mrs. T.E. Vining died at her home here Friday, February 12th, follow- ing a weeks illness of pneumonia. She was the wife of one of Chicot County's most prominent planters, and was beloved by all who knew her. She was a member of the Baptist Church and an earnest worker in it's cause. Mrs. Vining was born in Hinds County, Miss., and later moved to Louisiana. In 1924 she was married. Eight years ago she came to Eudora to make her home, and drew many friends to her, and her passing is a great loss to the community. The deceased was 45 years of age. She leaves her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Edmonson, of Forest, La., her husband, a daughter, Ruth; two sons, Don and Billy; three stepsons, Robert, T.C. and Louie Vining all of Eudora, a step- daughter, Mrs. Josephine Gamble, of Chicago; five sisters, Mrs. J.T. Spillard of Rayville; Miss Zola Edmonson and Mrs. Charlie Faisst, of Little Rock; Mrs. J.W. Holmes of Epps, La. and five brothers, E.A., Earnest, J.C., Peyton and William Edmonson,all of Forest, La. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Baptist church with the Rev. T.C. Hart conducting. Burial was in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Eudora.
