LAST RITES HELD FOR MRS. JESSIE WALKER

Mrs. Jessie Mae Walker, 85, of Oak Grove, passed away last Tuesday
in West Carroll hospital following a lengthy illness.  Funeral services
were held at 11 a.m. Thrusday in Kidder-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with 
the Revs. Frank Shields and Louis Couch officiating.  Interment was in
New Forest cemetery.

Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Lola Mercer, of Sterlington, 
Mrs. Vera Pallisco of Wynndotte, Mich., Mrs. Verna Mae Williams of 
Garrison, Texas, Mrs. Lorene Jones and Mrs. Wilhelmenia Helmer of 
Oak Grove; one son, George R. Walker of Oak Grove; one sister, Mrs.
Delhiltha Hilgenfeld of Blanchard; several grandchildren, great-
grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Grandsons served as pallbearers.
