Bonner The State of Louisiana and said Court To the Sheriff of the Parish of Carroll---Greeting Whereas, Gabriel H. Bonner, administrator, has filed in the office of the Clerk of said Court his petition for order of sale of the property and effect as the succession of Hiram R. Bonner, deceased. You are therefore required to sell all the property, real and personal of said succession mentioned in Inventory, according to law, and of your doing make due return to this office. Bonner One Double Barrell Shotgun 15.00 " " " " Lot Wearing apparel 10.00 Amounting in the aggregate to the Sum---------------------------------------------------------$219.81 The balance of the effects would not sell for the amount of the appraisement in Cash and was therefore re-advertised to be sold on credit of 12month-but previous to the day of the sale, the land had been entered by Thos. Shaddock and was (last part cut off of copy) Returned and filed-August 1st, 1856. He was a lawyer at Lake Providence. Died of yellow fever.
