Also, stock, & farming utensils, according to the accompanying inventory after lawful notice and due return make . Witness, the honorable Judge of said Court, & seal of said Court this 9th Jan.1852 Eli Harris, Clerk Received on Friday the 9th of January 1852 and on the same day advertised in the Carroll Watchman and by posting a private copy of advertisement at the Courthouse from the property within the described and required to be sold, for sale, for cash, on the premises, on the 9th day of February 1852, within the hours prescribed by law commencing at 11 o'clock A.M. and on said day and at said place after 30 clear days of advertisement I, read in a loud and audible voice the said advertisements and then cried said property as per Inventory of the Succession of said Josiah Bonner deceased and made sales as follows: to: Robt. C. Sample who agreed that the proceeds of sale of said slave should go to said succession with the exception of two hundred and fifty dollars yet due him from said succession on said slave. On payment of which he agreed to make a title to said slave. It was also found that the preemtion right or improvement inventoried as the property of said succession was still in the possession of Drury Jackson who held the note of Josiah Bonner for one hundred & twenty eight dollars. given for said improvement which he agreed to give up to the administrator. Knox, Sheriff Seventeen hundred and thirty-five 48/100 dollars. the proceeds of sale of property of the Succession of Josiah Bonner, deceased, on t he 9th day of Feb 1852. The State of Louisiana and said County To the Sheriff of the Parish of Carroll----Greeting: You are hereby authorized and required to make sale at Public auction at the courthouse in Providence, in the said parish after lawful notice, on a credit of twelve months, all the right, title, and interest which the late Josiah Bonner, of the said parish of Carroll, deceased, paid in and to the improvement and privileges on a tract of United States land on the west side of Bayou Macon in said parish where the said Deceased last resided and due return make to this office. Witness, the honorable John Perkins, Jr. Judge of said court and the seal of said court, this 19th Oct.1952. Eli Harris, Clerk Received this writ on Wednesday, the 20th day of October 1852 and on the 22nd day of October 1852, advertised the Improvements herein described (by publication in the "Carroll Watchman" a newspaper published weekly in the Parish of Carroll LA and by posting a printed copy of writ at the courthouse door of the said parish, to be sold on Saturday the 6th day of November 1852 at the said courthouse door within the hours prescribed by law, on a 12 month's credit, the purchaser, being required to give his note bearing interest with satisfactory, personal security: and at said time and place of sale, after ten clear days of advertisement read in a loud and audible voice the said advertisement and then offered said property on the terms afore said, to the highest bidder at public auction, when Hiram R. Bonner being the highest and last bidder for the sum of six thousand and fifty-nine dollars $1659.00 an became the purchaser and said property was formally adjudicated to him as such on his giving his note with security as required by said terms of sale. Wm. L. Knox, Sheriff w/ D W Jenkins, deputy To the Honorable, the 10th District Court of the State of Louisiana in for the Parish of Carroll. Your petitioner, James L. Bonner, administrator of the Estate of Josiah Bonner, deceased, files his account & tableau by which it appears that after paying the privilege claims, there remains the sum of 1246.57 in he hands of the administrator to be distributed, the creditors amounting in all to 2462.92 leaving to be distributed at this time 50 12/100 per cent on the dollar. Shows that there will be due on 6th Nov 1853 from H R Bonner of said estate of 650 at which time a further & final dividend of 25 per cent. Wherefore he prays that his account be allowed & hemologated and that he be ordered to pay the various creditors therein named according to the said dividend of fifty per cent. That all accompany notices be given and orders be made in the premises. H R Bonner, Atty. The State of Louisiana Parish of Carroll 10th District Court March 26, 1853 Let lawful notice and citation be given and if no opposition be made before the first Saturday in May next, the said account will be allowed and homologated and the said administrator will be allowed to pay the debts of said succession pro.rata as stated in the above petition Eli Harris, Clerk District Court Notice--- James L. Bonner has filed an account of his administration of the succession of the late Josiah Bonner, deceased, and prays for the homologation of the same, and to be allowed to pay the debts thereof pro rata, at fifty per cent according to his tableau this day filed in my office Parish of Carroll, LA March 26th 1853 If no opposition be received before the first Saturday in May next the prayers will be granted.
