From the Hamilton Cemetery, located near Hamilton, La., West Feliciana
Parish, on the C.H. Bickham homeplace. [NOTE:] Cemetery is in very bad
state of repair.  Fence is down, trees have fallen, some cut, and a number
of the headstone broken, and scattered, so that it is impossible to tell where
they belong.  As nearly s could be determined, there are five stones, slabs,
and pieces thereof, which appear to mark graves, but bearing no inscription.
There are two obvious graves which have no markers whatsoever.  The
following are those stones bearing incsriptions:

FRANKLIN K. HAMILTON, born 21 July 1867; died 26 December 1895, aged
(slab was broken at this point, but following appears to be the other half,
lying nearby:) 28 Ys 5 Ms 5 Ds.

WILLIS L. HAMILTON, born 4 July 1820; died 4 May 1893, aged 72 Ys 10 Ms.

M.A. BRADY (next to above grave of Willis L. Hamilton), born 28 September 1826;
died 17 June 1903.

WILLIAM EDGAR HAMILTON, born 3 April 1858; died 30 April 1892, aged 
34 Yrs 27 Dys.
    "A brave spirit lies buried here
     Who died a glorious death in
     His Country's Cause."

RUFUS R. ARD, born 27 March 1871; died 10 September 1900.

WALTER B. ARD, son of John W. and Martha E. Ard, born 5 February 1866;
died 24 February 1890.

To the memory of SARAH M. HAMILTON, wife of Samuel S. Bowman, died
9 April 1847, aged 24 years and Her Infant Sons, died 13 December 1834,
and 23 October 1845.

ELVIRA HAMILTON, wife of Rease A. Porter, died 28 March 1847, aged 34 years.

JAMES M. HAMILTON, died 22 March 1837, aged 21 years.

JAMES HAMILTON, who departed this life October 10th, 1848 aged 62 years
9 mos. 31 days.

Sacred to the memory of Our Mother, L.M. LUCAS, wife of C.L. Collins, 
born 17 January 1843; died 5 April 1907.

MARTHA B. ARD, wife of J.W. Ard, Intered into Rest 3 August 1908 (no
other information)

JOHN W. ARD, born 14 February 1840; died 1 June 1907, aged 67 years.

ALLEN WAYNE ARD. (This is a Woodman of the World Memorial, and 
bears no further data.)

MRS. SALLIE FORD ARD, born 13 June 1871; died 19 April 1922.

FRED OTTIS ARD, son of A.W. and S.J. Ard, born 19 July 1894; died
5 March 1900.
