MRS. GOLDMAN DIES.

Mrs. Hannah Goldman died Sunday at 1:30 p. m. after and long and painful 
illness, interspersed with acute attacks of an alarming nature.  One of these 
came on Saturday night and the end followed.  The burial took place in Hebrew 
Rest, 10:30 o'clock Monday morning.  Mr. B. Leopold reading the service.  Mrs. 
Goldman was 70 years old, widow of Joseph Goldman who died here about twenty 
years ago.  She was a native of Germany but had resided during most of her 
life in the United States.  Her nearest relatives are Mr. Jake Blum and Miss 
Ella Teutsch, nephew and niece respectively, and a brother in Germany.  Mr. 
Rudolf Teutsch of St. Francisville is a cousin.  Her brothers, Herman, Bernard 
and Louis Teutsch, and sister, Mrs. F. Blum, all preceded her to the grave.  
Though so bereft of living kindred, she was tenderly cared for by friends and 
nighbors, Mrs. Ben Leopold particularly being constant in her ministrations to 
the lonely sufferer.  Before the decline of Mrs. Goldman's health, one of the 
prettiest flower gardens in St. Francisville was hers, and hemmed in as it was 
between other buildings, it always struck a pleasant note of surprise when the 
passer-by came upon it.  It wa an emblem of the fact that though always 
someting of a recluse, an interest in affairs blossomed as brightly in her 
life as the flowers in her garden.
