Manzie Reed Is Dead.

Adam (Manzie) G. Reed killed himself Friday night on the family plantation, 
Greenwood, at half-past eight o'clock.  He had been drinking heavily, and he 
met a young colored woman, with whom he was evidently familiar, in the road 
and called her to him.  He shot her through the temples and then put the 
pistol to his mouth and fired.  Death was instantaneous.  His funeral takes 
place at Grace Cemetery, this afternoon at 5 o'clock.  He was a son of the 
late Chas. H. Reed, and was aged 23 years and 4 months.
