She conducted tours of her family's historic plantation home in St. Francisville. Visiting at Grace Episcopal Church, St. Francisville, 1:30 p.m. until religious services at 3 p.m. Thursday. Survived by a daughter, Mary Fort Thompson; a son-in-law, Dennis Brinkley Williamson, St. Francisville; a niece, Glendora White Stewart, Metairie; two nephews, Dr. Ernest Burton White Jr., New Orleans, and William Johnston Fort IV, Baton Rouge; and eight great-nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by husband, James Wallace Thompson; two sisters, Martha Fort White and Sadie Bowman Fort; and a brother, William Johnston Fort III. Pallbearers will be William Fort V, Thomas W. "MISS MOTT" A retired West Feliciana Parish School Board teacher and a resident and native of St. Francisville, she died at 6 a.m. Tuesday, April 28, 1998, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, Baton Rouge. She was 79. Visiting was at Jackson Hall at Grace Episcopal Church, St. Francisville, 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday. Visiting at the hall, 8:30 a.m. until religious services at the church at 11 a.m. Thursday, conducted by the Rev. Kenneth Dimmick. Interment in church cemetery. Survived by a sister, H. Anne Plettinger, Baton Rouge; a brother and sister-in-law, W.G. WALDEN, JERELENE "JERRI" Retired from West Feliciana Parish school system and a resident of St. Francisville, she died at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 15, 1998, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center. She was 65 and a native of Cleburne, Texas. Visiting at Charlet Funeral Home Inc., Zachary, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Visiting at First Baptist Church, St. Francisville, 8:30 a.m. until religious services at 10 a.m. Wednesday, conducted by the Rev. Joe Ratcliff. Interment in Starhill Cemetery, Starhill. Survived by father, Charles J. LAWSON, JOHN ALBERT A retired railroad conductor with GM&O Railroad, he died Tuesday, Oct. 13, 1998, at his residence in Clinton. He was 68, born in Bains and reared in Darlington. He was a U.S. Army veteran and received a Purple Heart. Visiting at Feliciana Baptist Church, Clinton, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday and after 10 a.m. Thursday. Religious services at the church at 2 p.m. Thursday, conducted by the Rev. Tony Hand and the Rev. Tom Logan. Interment in Bluff Creek Cemetery. Survived by wife, Helen Bunch Lawson, Clinton; three daughters, Vickie Lawson Barnes and Cynthia Lawson Hooge, both of Clinton, and Joy Lawson Brumfield, Bogalusa; a son, John Mark Lawson, Clinton; three sisters, Pauline Lawson Bunch, Clinton, Annie Lawson Dowdy, Louisville, Miss., and Katherine Lawson Smith, Zachary; a brother, George Lawson, Franklinton; 10 grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren and a great-grandchild.
