The announcement was made by Herbert Simmons, Executive Director of the National Consumer Information Center recently. Brew will meet in the near future with other persons representing a cross section of leading consumer groups in the United States to formulate plans for the National Consumer Convention scheduled for January, 1977 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Brew, the son of Mr. and Mrs. A. O. Brew of Fuller Avenue, is a graduate of Pinecrest High School and Southern University. He is a former teacher of the now defunct Union Hill Junior High School. The 1955 graduate of Pinecrest High School holds memberships in the following organizations: Louisiana's Consumer League, National Association of Educational Buyers, Frontiers International, Inc., Board of Directors, Boys Club of America, Baton Rouge, Mayor's Council on Youth Opportunities.
