Dr. Brossette holds a B. S. degree from Grambling State University and a masters degree from Northwestern State University. He has attended Louisiana State University and Southern University. He received a fellowship to Western Michigan University to complete his requirements for his doctorate. He has taught at New Enterprise Elementary in St. Maurice, at J. W. Gains Elementary in Montgomery, and was assistant principal at Mary Graham Elementary School in Colfax. The Montgomery, Louisiana native who is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Brosette, Sr., is married to the former Miss Delores Gibson, formerly of St. Maurice. The couple have three daughters, Darrie Lynn, Alecia, and Cathy. Dr. Brossette, 33, is one of the youngest doctors at NSU and the only person of his race to become a professor at the North Louisiana school.
