Mr. Mackintosh is among these. Architect, contractor and builder and engineer. He came from New Orleans but has been a busy man in various sections having been in his present line all his life. As an engineer he put in water works at Jennings, Abbeville, Rayne, Donaldsonville, New Roads and in many places in Texas. He also put in electric light plants in Abbeville and Rayne, La., and built water, light and ice plant in Port Arthur, Texas, and a sewerage system in Houston. In Winnfield already he has built the City Hotel, City Hall, Fisher Dry Goods new building and has laid a large portion of our new side walk. This makes a good record and we are glad to have such men among us. He is a graduate of Cornell University and received a gold medal there for excellence in Civil engineering. He has planned our water works. He is a busy, nervous hustler and makes things move around him.
