Terrill of Alexandria, Louisiana was elected a director of Central Louisiana Electric Corporation at the Company's annual meeting of shareholders held in Lafayette April 24, announced Gale L. Galloway, chairman, president, and chief executive officer. Terrill, 44, is president of Louisiana Interstate Gas Corporation, a major operating company of Central Louisiana Energy and the most extensive intrastate pipeline company in Louisiana. He has over 20 years of experience in the oil and gas business and has served as an executive officer of Louisiana Interstate Gas Corporation for the past eight years. A native of Winnfield, he is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harper Terrill. A graduate of Louisiana Tech University with a B. S. in petroleum engineering, he is a member of the Louisiana Engineer Society, the Natural Gas Men's Association of Houston, and is a registered professional engineer of Louisiana. Central Louisiana Energy Corporation is a diversified energy company which, through its six subsidiaries, operates gas pipelines, engages in oil and gas exploration and production, crude oil refining, gas processing, and provides electric, gas, and water service to approximately 281,000 customers within Louisiana.
