As with all secondary sources, the data shown should be used as clues to further research and verification.] Issue No. 1 April, 1994 HISTORICAL FACTS: Although no specific mention of the establishment of our cemetery can be found, it is safe to assume that it came into being along with Bethlehem Baptist Church, which according to earliest documentation, was 1877. There are at present a conservative count of 398 graves in the cemetery with the oldest, according to tombstone inscription, being that of James M. Anderson, born June 30, 1849, died January 20, 1889. The oldest person buried in the cemetery, per tombstone birth date, is Elizabeth Low, born February 18,1810 and died September 28, 1899. The oldest person at the time of death was Martha Ann D. Hogg. Her tombstone shows a birth date of March 15, 1856 and a death date of June 6, 1960 which made her a little over 104 years old at the time of her death.
