P. E. Grisham, who is the father of O. M., was born and reared in Mississippi, but he has lived for many years in Winn Parish. He has been a farmer and merchant, but has always been felt in his community. He married Violater Smith in the parish and his entire family has been reared here. Since the death of this wife he married Mrs. Cora Hammond and they live in Dodson. Our subject was born in Winn Parish and is identified with her every interest. He was educated in her schools also in Ruston College and Mt. Lebanon College and in University of Nashville, where he graduated. He also graduated in law at Cumberland University, Lebanon, Tenn. In 1898 he began the practice of law and has enjoyed a distinct success in his profession. He is now District Attorney in the 5th Judicial District and has made a most efficient officer. He is impulsive, forcible, successful. He married Miss Daisy Asenath Emerson, of Tennessee, a lady of culture and who is in every way a helpmate. They have three children and a good home in Winnfield. He is a member of the Baptist church, superintendent of his Sunday School, also a Mason, Knight of Pythias, Woodman of the World, Redmen, and in school was Pi Kappa Alpha. Mr. Grisham ways this is the best section of the world for a young man and that untold development inevitably awaits us. He has acquired a variety of interests and is heard in many councils. His motto: "To make the most of my capabilities and to accomplish the greatest good with them."
