Holloway Pastor, Methodist Church, Winnfield, La. William Sidney Holloway was born in North Carolina, but came to Kentucky in early life and was mostly reared there. He married Elizabeth Lewis, who was born in Illinois and reared in Missouri. They had seven children, one of whom was our subject,. who was born in Ellisville, Mo., May 20, 1849 and was educated at Washington, Mo. In 1871 he entered the ministry in the Methodist Church, and Sept. 21, 1875 he married Miss Ella Dent. They have five children and they are a cultured and affectionate family. Mr. Holloway is a Mason and is well beloved among his people, quiet and dignified and yet thoughtful and industrious. Most of his public ministry has been spent in Missouri, but he came from Arkansas to Louisiana three years ago. He thinks this country has a great future and that great development is just ahead, both materially and in our churches and schools. Motto: "To do all the good I can."
