Moss, President of Winnfield's First Federal Savings and Loan Association, will usher in the holiday season December 15 as Grand Marshal of the sixth annual Winn Jaycee and Jayne Christmas Parade. Sponsored by the Winn Jaycees and Jaynes, the parade will feature floats, marching bands, dignitaries, and the arrival of Santa Claus. A native of Winnfield, Moss was one of the founding members of First Federal in 1934, and has been an active civic and business leader throughout his career. He recently served Winn Parish as Chairman of the Louisiana College "Partnership Progress" financing campaign which raised over $200,000. Moss was educated in the Winn Parish school system, Louisiana Academy, and was graduated from Louisiana College. He received his J. D. Degree from Tulane University in New Orleans. At the outbreak of World War II Moss was a captain in the Army reserves, and with active duty was assigned to the 82nd Airborne Division. He is a veteran of the Normandy Campaign and was raised to the rank of colonel during his military services. Moss is a past State Commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and member of the Veterans' Affairs Commission. He is married to the former Claire Boone of Many, and they are the parents of two children, Cas B. Moss and Mrs. Dale Moss Russell, both of Winnfield. He is a member of the First Baptist Church and has been an active supporter of Winn Parish clubs and projects.
