Rockhold Mr. Rockhold is one of the reliable and trusted contractors and builders in Winnfield. His family came from Arkansas and his father's name was Sam and he was born and reared in Ohio. He was a brick mason and died in Jackson Parish, Sept. 10, 1900. His wife's name was Wheat and was born and reared in Arkansas. They were married in 1871. Mr. Rockhold himself was born in Arkansas Nov. 4, 1874 and was educated in Texas and Louisiana. He began his present vocation in 1897. In 1895 he married Hattie Lindsay and five children have been born to them. Mr. Rockhold is a prominent member of the Methodist Protestant Church and superintendent in his Sunday School. He believes there is a great future for us both spiritually and materially, and has made good investments, having a good amount assessed against him in real estate. He is helpful in the advancement of all good things. Motto: "First, to honor and obey God; second, to be a help in humanity and rear my children for God and Christianity."
