He is broad, progressive and conservative. He is a son of Daniel Webb, who came from Alabama. he married Tempie Kinard, who was Dutch. She was also reared in Alabama. They had ten children. He died in Union Parish in 1861; she in 1863. Mr. Webb himself was born in Union County, Arkansas, may 21st, 1851, and was educated in a good knowledge of things. He is now Justice of the Peace and president of the Police Jury and is rendering a signal service to his section. He lives in Atlanta which is a prosperous town of 1000 people 12 miles south of Winnfield which is surrounded with a most prosperous country. June 2, 1872 Mr. Webb married Miss Eva Morris. They have five children; two dead. When asked if he thought our country had a good future replied, yes sir, I do. He is now quite a man of affairs and lives easy and does what he can for many good causes. Mr. Webb says truck raisers could make a good living in his community now.
