An Inquisition Taken At Winnfield, Louisiana, on 1st day of November in the year 1919, before the Coroner of the Parish of Winn, upon view of the body of Tom Frazer, there lying dead. The Jurors whose names are hereunto subscribed, having been sworn to inquire on the behalf of the State when and by what means the said Tom Frazer came to his death, upon their oath do say that the said Tom Frazer came to his death November 1, 1919, by gun shot wounds (pistol) inflicted by a pistol in the hands of Lone Gunn. We therefore recommend that a warrant be issued charging the said Lone Gunn with Murder and that he be held to answer said charge. G. Milam J. N. Sowers Leon Gunn, sworn, says: I was at the Ball Park this evening. Mr. Frazer called me and said come on and lets take your Uncle Lone. We put him in the car and cranked up the car we go in the car and Charley Gunn got into the car also. We went up to the shop and Uncle Lone wanted to stop at the shop and Mr. Frazer says come on and we'll carry you home. Uncle Lone says all right I'll go anywhere you want me to go. We carried him on home and we drove up in front of the gate and Mr. Frazer and Uncle Lone got out and Charley got out of on the running board with one foot on the ground, he was on the side opposite the house. Mr. Frazer said to me I'll be back in a minute and he turned and walked on behind the car. I reached down to pull the emergency brake and as I pulled the brake half way up two shots fired. I looked around and Mr. Frazer was backing down the hill, he was shooting, Uncle Lone was shooting too. Mr. Frazer backed down the hill till he fell. Uncle Lone followed him about half way down the hill. After I took Uncle Lone's gun away from him he went to where Mr. Fraze was. I had got Mr. Frazer's gun before Uncle Lone went to him. I carried the guns to Uncle Lone's shop and put them on the desk. Mr. Frazer backed till he fell, he backed after he quit shooting. Uncle Lone shot one time after Mr. Frazer quit shooting. Signed: Leon Gun Charley Gunn, sworn, says: I went with Uncle Lone, Mr. Frazer, and Leon Gunn from the Ball Park home, we stopped at the shop and Uncle Lone wanted to get out there and Mr. Frazer said No, let's go home, you won't stay here you'll be out on the streets here. Uncle Lone was drinking, he wasn't drunk. We drove on home then, when we got there Mr. Frazer got out first, Uncle Lone got out on the same side of the car with Mr. Frazer. Mr. Frazer stept back just one step Uncle Lone step up one step and turn around facing Mr. Frazer. Uncle Lone put both hands down about his belt then Mr. Frazer reached back and got his gun and fired twice right quick then Uncle Lone pulled his gun and commenced shooting. Mr. Frazer began to back as soon as Uncle Lone had shot 3 or 4 times. I ran to the door steps while they were shooting, as I got to the door steps the shooting stopped.
