Wounded Man is Better and Hale is Allowed Bail. John Hale, who cut Pat Shea during a fight in Pete McEnroe's camp last week, was allowed bail Wednesday in the sum of $ 300, J. T. Wallace and L. D. Jones signing the bond. Dr. Siess who attended the wounded man pronounced the wounds as being improved and out of danger, and after getting a statement from Pat, the Judge fixed a bond for Hale and he was released. On being asked concerning the difficulty Pat said he tried to baste Hale with a box and he knocked it off. It struck Pete McEnroe on the cheek. Pat then collared Hale and got him down and choked him enough, however, Hale got out his knife and stabbed Pat four times. The story related in true Irish and is believed to be the truth. Pat said he "niver thought of the bloody knife," and if he gets well he will "niver raise me hand to foight agi'n." (Submitted by Greggory Ellis Davies, Winnfield, Winn Parish, LA.)
