Sikes of Sikes, who is said to have been the central figure in a one-man riot in Sikes Saturday. The fracas started in a Sikes caf=82, where Herschal Sikes is alleged to have started trouble. The proprietor called Wesley Mayes, Sikes marshal. It was reported Sikes took Mayes' gun away form him when the marshal attempted to make the arrest. Sheriff Calvin M. Robinson was called to the scene. He learned that Sikes had gone to a nearby farm house. A few minutes later he accosted Sikes as the latter left hurriedly out the back door. Sikes apparently started to resist, but decided the Sheriff meant business and came along peaceably after surrendering the gun to Sheriff Robinson. He was lodged in the Winn Parish jail and is being held in lieu of bonds totaling $ 800.
