The Winn Parish Police Jury met January 5, 1885 at Winnfield, Louisiana with
the following members present:

S. M. Smith, Ward 1
J. L. Holmes, Ward 2
J. M. Jones, Ward 3
W. H. Morris, Ward 4
Will A. Strong, Ward 5
J. E. Durham, Ward 6
J. R. Bird, Ward 7
J. D. Williams, Ward 8

They appointed the following road commissioners for the year 1885:
