     Notice is hereby given that the following named settler has filed notice
of his intention to make final proof in support of his claim, and that said
proof will be made before J. T. Wallace, U. S. Commissioner, at Winnfield,
La., on Sept. 6th, 1901, viz:
     David D. Boyd, H. E. No 17158 for the southeast quarter of northwest
quarter & southwest quarter of northeast quarter Section 10 Tp. 11 north range
1 west La. Mer.
     He names the following witnesses to prove his continuous residence upon
and cultivation of said land, viz:
     C. A. Cockerham, J. R. Spillers, J. N. Thames, Columbus Thames, all of
Winn Parish, La.
