     KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS, That I, J. J. Weems, a 
resident of the State of Louisiana, Parish of Winn, have this day
bargained and sold and by these presents do hereby bargain, sell,
transfer and deliver unto S. J. Weems, a resident of Winn Parish,
State of Louisiana the following described as follows to-wit:
     S 1/2 of NE 1/4 Sec. 9, Tp. 10 N. R. 1 E. La. Mer, together 
with all the improvements thereon, said land sold with full legal 
warranty of title and will full subrogation to all rights of 
warranty, and all other rights held therein by said vendor.  The
consideration for which this sale is made, is the sum of Two 
Hundred Dollars, cash in hand paid receipt of which is hereby 
acknowledged.
     This done and signed in the presence of the undersigned 
witnesses, of lawful age and domicile, this the 31st day of 
December, 1912.

     BE IT KNOWN, That on this 31st day of December, 1912, before 
me, the undersigned authority, personally came and appeared J. J. 
Weems to me well known to be the person described in and who 
executed the foregoing deed and who declared unto me in the 
presence of the two competent witnesses thereto that he signed the
above and foregoing act for the intents and purposes therein 
expressed.
     In testimony whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal of 
my office in the presence of the undersigned competent witnesses, 
on this the 31st day of Dec. 1912.
