All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA certificate 13269 To all to whom these presents shall come, Greeting: Whereas John W Williams of Winn Parish Louisiana has deposited in the GENERAL LAND OFFICE of the United States a Certificate of the Register of the Land Office at New Orleans Louisiana, whereby it appears that full payment as been made by the said John W Arledge according to the provisions of the Act of Congress of the 24 th day of April, 1820 entitled "An act making further provisions for the sale of the Public Lands" and the acts supplemetal thereunto for The South half of the South East quarter of Section twenty five in Township eleven North of Range one West of Louisiana Meridian in Louisiana, containing seventy nine acres and sixty seven hundrdths of an acre according to the official plat of the survey of the said lands returned to the General Land Office by the Surveyor General which said tract has been purchased by the said John W Arledge Now know ye, That the United States of America in consideration of the premses and in conformity with the several acts of Congress in such case made and provided, HAVE GIVEN AND GRANTED, and by these presents DO GIVE AND GRANT unto the said John W Arledge and to his heirs, the said tract described To have and to Hold the same, together with all the rights, privileges, immunities, and appurtenances of whatsoever nature, thereunto belonging, unto the said John W Arledge and to his heirs and assigns forever, In testimony I Benjamin Harrison President of the United States of America have caused these letters to be made patent and the seal of th General Land Office to be affixed Given under my hand at the city of Washington the third day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety and of the Independece of the United States the one hundred and fourteenth By the President Benjamin Harrison by M McKean secretary J M Townsend recorder of the General Land Office
