Tullos Know all men by these presents that I, - I. F. M. Skinner of the Parish of Winn, State of Louisiana, for and consideration of the sum of Five Hundred Dollars to me in hand paid by E. B. Tullos receipt of which is hereby acknowledged. Have granted sold and conveyed with full subrogations to all of my rights and actions of warranty against all former owners and vendors unto the said E. B. Tullos of the Parish of Winn and State of Louisiana. All that contains and described as follows: North East 1/4 of NW 1/4 South west 1/4 of North west 1/4 Section 2. Township 10 NR 1 west La. West. M. Skinner to North La. Lbr. and Tbr. Co. Timber Contract State of Louisiana, Parish of Winn} This contract and agreement made and entered into on this the 24th day of June 1903 by and between I. M. Skinner party of the first part and North La. Lbr. And Tbr. Co. party of the second part. Witnesseth: That the party of the first part being the owner in fee simple of the following described lands situated in the Parish of Win and State of Louisiana to wit: NW 1/4 1/4 of NW 1/4 Sec 35 and NE 1/ of NE 1/4 Sec. 34 and SE 1/4 of SE 1/4 Sec 27 all in T. 11 R. 1 W and the party of the second part being desirous to purchase the pine timber on said lands at the price of $430.00 dollars paid cash. Now, therefore, the party of the first part has this day for and in consideration of the sum of $430.00 dollar to me paid by the party of the second part, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged granted bargained, sold and conveyed and does hereby grant, bargain, sell and convey unto the party of the second p[art, ad its successions heirs and assigns all the pine timber on the the land herrein before described for the price of $430.00 dollars paid cash. That for the purpose of felling, cuttin and removing said timber from said land the party of the second part its heirs and assigns are to have possession of said lands and the right to cut out and construct roads and tramways over through and upon same except lands in cultivaton and the right to use the same for the removal of same which it may purchase on lands adjoining and beyond that described herein and to have for ingress and egress for its employees, teams, and vehicles into uuupon and off the same for the period of ten years from this date, at the end of which time this contract is to be void as to future operations hereunder. That in case of the sale, transfer, lease or mortgage of said land the party of the first part agrees and binds himself to reserve and protect the title rights of the second part to said timber. Abel Clerk and Ex-Officio Notary Public duly commissioned and sworn within and for the Parish of Winn and State of Louisiaa in presence of the witnesses herein afterwaard and undersigned personally came and appeared I. F. M. Skiner a resident of Winn Parish State of Louiiana who declared that for the love [of - marked out] he has for the cause of Christ and from a desire for the advancement of the same good acquittance and discharge givein for the same he did and does by these presents give, donate, assign, convey set over and deliver unto Thomas Cox, A. L. McVay and I. F. M. Mer. Running North 50 yds thence east 105 yds thence south 70 yds thece west 105 yds to place of beginning cotaining in the agaregate One and one half (1 1/2) acres. Said described property is given and donated by the said I. F. M. Skinner for the use and benefit of the Methodist Protestant Church "for a church lot". It is undertood by the partie herei that all timber on the above described lot is hereby reserved by the said Donor. To have and to hold the said property unto the said Methodist Protestant Church their heirs and assigns in full property forever free from any lein mortgage or encumbrance whatever with full and generally warranty of title and with full subragation to all the rights of warranty and all other rights as held by paid donor. The paid appearers hereby agree to dispese with the certificate required by article 3364 of the Revised Civil Code of this state and exonerate me aid Notary from liability on account of the non-production of the same. All taxes on the property herein conveyed have been paid as evidenced by statement of donor. F. M. Skinner to C. F. Tarver #3830 State of Louisiana Parish of Winn. Before me S. M. Abel, Dy., Clerk & Ex-Off & Notary Public duly commissioned and sworn within and for the Parish of Winn in presence of the witnesses herein after named and undersigned. Personally came and appeared I. F. M. Skinner resident of Winn Parish, Louisiana who declare that he did and does by these presence grant, bargain, sell, convey, assign, set over and deliver unto C. F. Tarver a resident of Winn Parish, Louisiana here p;resent accepting and purchasing for himself his heirs and assigns all and singular, the following described property with all its rights, privileges and belongings to-wit: NE1/4 of SW1/4 and SE1/4 of NW1/4 Sec 2. T. 10 N.R. 1. West, La. Less One and one half acres sold to Leewis Chapel methodist Protetant Church containint 78 « acres more or less. It is agreed and understood that I. F. M. Skinner shall and does reserve Three acres including the building on this land as long as he lives or until he sees fit to give Possessdion of same to the said C. F. Tarver. To have and to hold the said property unto the said purchasher his heirs and assign in full property forever, free from any lien mortgage or encumbrance whatever with full and eneral warranty of title and with full subrogation to all rights of warranty and all other rights as held by said vendor. This sale is made and accepted for and in consideration of the price and sum of Three Hundred Ninety Two & 50/100 Dollars payable as follows to-wit: One Hundred and Eighty Dollars cash in hand paid to receipt of which is hereby acknowledged and the remainder to be paid in two notes of $106.25 due Dec 1st 1908 and Dec. 1st 1909 as representing which credit portion said vendee has made drawn and signed his several two promissory notes made payable at the epochs aforesaid and to the order of I. F. M. Skinner conditioned to bear interest at 8 per cent. Per annum from maturity until paid, which promissory note, after havig been paraphed "No Varietur" by me, said Notary, in order to identify the same with these presents, been remitted to said I.F.M. Skinner who acknowledge due possession and delivery thereof. In case it becomes necessary to resort to legal proceedings for the recovery of the amount of said note or any part thereof, the said C. F. Tarver bind and obligate himself to pay the fees of the attorney, whom may be employed for taht purpose, which fees are hereby fixed at 10.5 per cent on the amount sued for. And in order to secure more effectully the full and punctial payment of the aforesaid note together with all the intest and costs that may accrue on the same, according to the tenor of said notes and the stipulations herein written, the said purchaser in addtion to the vendors lien and privilege which is hereby expressly retained by said vendor declare that he does by these presents especially mortgage and hypothecaate the property herein conveyed, to the said vendor, binding himself, his heirs assigns, not to alienate, deteriorate nor encumber the aid to the predjudice of this mortgage. The said appearers hereby agree to dispense with the certificate required by Article 3364 of the Revised Civil Code of this State and exonerate me, said Notary, forom all responsibility on account of the non-production of the same. All State, Parish and municipal taxes due o the property herein conveyed have been paid as evidence by statement of vendor. Thu done and appsed at Winnfield in the Parish of Winn State of Louisiana on this the second day of April A.D. 1908 Nineteen Hundred and Eight in the presence of A. J. Jordan ad W. A.
