Bro. Allen will be given the degree in New Orleans November 27 if he is unable to attend the meeting in Washington, D. C. Bro. Allen is a member of Eastern Star Lodge No. 151 here in Winnfield. He has served as Worshipful Master and in many other offices. He is a present Chairman of the Building Committee, working on the Lodge building to be located behind the Western Auto building. He has served as Worshipful Master for the 5th Masonic District and on many committees at the Grand Lodge meetings in New Orleans. Bro. Allen has been the leader of Scottish Rite Masonry in Central Louisiana for many years. He has been instrumental in securing over 250 Scottish Rite petitions in Central Louisiana. He has carried 14 bus loads of Masons to Shreveport for the Scottish Rite Ceremonies. Bro. Allen is an active worker in Shrine projects and York Rite Masonry. Bro. Allen is the first Mason from Winn Parish to receive this distinguished honor.
