As is the usual custom the U. D. C. of which Mrs. W. E. Heard is the president, provided dinner and entertainment for the members present. After dinner, music was furnished by Seary's Band, and Maj. W. E. Dark, age 77, one of the youngest boys, gave an exposition in some fancy steps, cutting the "pigeon's wing" to a queen's taste. It will be remembered that Maj. Dark won the premium at the State Fair in Shreveport last year as a fancy dancer. Proceedings at the annual reunion of David Pierson Camp No. 1603, United Confederate Veterans, at Winnfield, La., May 2, 1925: The meeting was called to order by the Commander, A. W. Radescich. Minutes of the last meeting and financial report of the adjutant read, and on motion duly seconded, were unanimously adopted. The adjutant proceeded to call the roll, and when the members responded to names, their annual dues were paid by them as indicated, and their ages given: P. E. Grisham, age 87; W. E. Dark, 77; W. H. Wallace, 75; D. F. Averett, 87; A. W. Radescich, 75; C. Jones, 81; T. H. Alexander, 82; W. A. Downs, 78; J. A. Huse, 80; T. B. Durham, 83; J. M. Wilson, 84; G. W. Low, 84; E. C. Whitehead, 78; S. D. Kinedy, 79; W. P. Odom, 81. Next in order the election of officers, Secretary W. P. Odom, resigned. W. E. Dark was put in nomination and elected unanimously as secretary of the camp, then the delegates to national reunion at Dallas, Texas were elected, A. W. Radescich and W. E. Dark; as alternates, J. A.
