shows station of company, Near-
Alexandria, La.
Record of Events.
This command marched from Franklin, La. March
13. 1864.  Arrived at Alex-
andria with but little of interest happening.  From i?
there we had several skir-
mishes with the enemy
up to April 7th where this
Regiment was engaged
with the enemy for three
hours with considerable loss
of men and horses.  In this
engagement this Company
lost its Commanding officer
by his being badly wounded
in the arm.  Also one Sergt
badly wounded, and one
man missing.  April 8. 1864
there was a general engagement
