Jerry Dayne McManus, who had been missing in action in Viet Nam since April 25, is dead. Further information is pending the arrival of the body in the United States. He is survived by his parents, three brothers, Johnny, a student at Verda High School, Jimmy, who recently returned from Viet Nam, and Richard of Alaska, one sister, who resides in Shreveport. Article No. 2 Rites For Viet Nam Casualty Held Tuesday The body of Corp. Jerry Dayne McManus, 19, arrived in Winnfield, Monday, August 12, from Viet Nam, where he was reported missing and then to have died April 25, 1968. Funeral services were held at Northside Baptist Church in Montgomery at 2 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Clarence Brooks, Gerald Page, and Carl Smiley officiating. Interment was in Mars Hill Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.
