Reynolds Co. I, Harrison Brigade. G...? Cobb, Capt. at surrender, same company. WOUNDED: No, contracted Rheumatism during service in the army WHEN DISCHARGED: no discharged, disbanded. WHEREABOUT AT SURRENDER: on Red River, at Maguet (?) Hill above Alexandria. NUMBER IN FAMILY: seven, 3 males, 4 females ANSWERS TO REMAINING QUESTIONS: Trying to farm, do not earn anything over a living and a scant living it is, and it by my children's labor. I have no estate, nor does my wife. I do not use any intoxicants. I have an attorney. His name is J. T. Wallace, Esqr. Five dollars if pension is allowed. NAMES OF TWO OR MORE COMRADES: Z. L. In Lincoln Parish until five years ago, since in Winn (or this) parish. I am married, my family consists of myself, wife, two daughters, and a motherless granddaughter. My wife, 59 years, oldest daughter, 30 years, next 19 years, my granddaughter 17 years. I have seven children, 3 males and 4 females. WITNESS MY HAND: this 19th day of November 1898 signed by: W. H.
