Moore is a four-year veteran of Vietnam and has re-enlisted for another six years service in the Marines. His mother, Mrs. Alice Moore of Dodson, said he is now in Corpus Christi, Texas undergoing treatment for wounds he received in a search and destroy mission in Vietnam. She said he had been awarded a Presidential Unit Citation for action and the Vietnamese Gallantry Cross with Palm-Leaf Cluster, in addition to his six purple hearts. Moore is a graduate of Dodson High School and attended Northwestern State University and Louisiana College before entering service.
