C. D. Moss Elected Chairman Of State Vet Affairs Comm.

Casimir D. Moss, Commander of the Payne-Johnson Post 3800 V. F. W., Winn
Parish, was elected chairman of the State Veterans' Affairs Commission at the
June meeting of the group in Monroe last Saturday.

Moss, a candidate for the post of State V. F. W. Commander, has served on the
commission for one year of a four year term to which he was appointed.  The
commission is composed of members representing the American Legion, V. F. W.,
Amvets, Purple Heart organization, and the Disabled American Vets.

At the Monroe session problems of veterans' groups in this section were
discussed with the matter of vet unemployment receiving special attention.

Shreveport will be the scene of the next meeting to be held there August 16
