S/Sgt. R. Shelton Reported Missing In Action, Pacific

Son of J. M. Shelton, Sardis; Tail Gunner On B-29

S/Sgt. Ralph Shelton, tail gunner on a B-29, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. M.
Shelton, of Sardis, was reported missing in action in the Guam area according
to information from the United States War Department reaching here Wednesday
of this week.

S/Sgt. Shelton was based on Guam and operated over the home island of Japan. 
He entered the service in 1942 and had been overseas more than four months.
