Blackburn, for several years with Tremont Railway as boilermaker and acetylene welder, but now with Southern Mineral Co., at the lime plant here, has been awarded a patent on a repair link which is an economical and valuable device for repairing any size chain from the smallest to the largest. The link carries patent No. 1,576, 431 and is dated March 9, 1926. The link looks like two simple hooks fastened together at one end and can easily be opened and closed with the hands and Mr. Blackburn says they will stay closed when connecting a chain. A few of these little links of different sizes carried along with logging wagons, teamsters, or farmers will save many repair bills and lots of time according to Mr. Blackburn.
