TV Star, Youth Rodeo Friday At Fairgrounds

An appearance by Dale Robertson, who stars as Wells Fargo detective Jim Hardy
on television, is scheduled here Saturday night in the rodeo arena.

Robertson's appearance was arranged by the Winn Riding Club which also is
sponsoring a youth rodeo in connection with his appearance.

Albert Long, president of the riding club, said that Robertson will give a
performance, 60 to 90 minutes long.  He will bring a musical group with him.

Robertson agreed to make the appearance in support of the riding club's youth
activities program, Long said.  The actor has a youth ranch near Lake O' The
Pines, Texas.

Another feature in connection with Robertson's appearance and the youth rodeo
will be a championship calf roping contest by Laverne Perry.  Perry is
Louisiana calf-roping champion.

The program begins at 7:30 p.m.
