College Pineville, La., Nov. 2-Special: Gloria Evans, Louisiana College senior of Winnfield, has been chosen to reign as Homecoming Queen for the festivities Saturday, November 8, as the college meets Southwestern Louisiana Institute on the gridiron at Alumni Stadium in Pineville. Maid of Honor for the occasion is Miss Evelyn Sewell of Bossier City. These two will preside in the prominent positions over the eight member court which will appear in the Homecoming Parade Saturday afternoon and the football game Saturday night. Gloria Evans was honored last week by being selected senior beauty and a member of the "Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities" group. Last year she was chosen Cenla Queen and sophomore beauty. In high school at Winnfield she was listed in the Senior Hall of Fame for 1950, a member of the annual staff, and, editor of the school paper. At Louisiana College, she is presently a member of the following organizations: Cadmian Literary Society, treasurer, 1951; Boosters, vice-president, 1952, and Alpha Iota, secretary, 1952. She is a secretarial science major. Gloria is the daughter of Rev. and Mrs. E. W. Evans of Winnfield.
