The crowd gathered early to begin work, the men rolling logs while the women prepared a delicious dinner. At twelve o'clock the men were called to dinner in the dining room, which presented an appetizing scene. The dinner consisted of vegetables of several kinds, salad, relishes, meats, desserts and coffee. In the afternoon the men returned to finish rolling the logs. During this time the women were having a social afternoon at the house. About two thirty the work was completed and everybody adjourned to meet again at Mr. and Mrs. Dan Carter's for an enjoyable corn popping. Those attending the outing were: Mr. and Mrs. Dan Carter, Mr. and Mrs. Eddy Howard and baby, Max, Mr. and Mrs. C.B.
