(Buddy) Payne's Community Store - 1924, The store was located near the Hudson community and about halfway between Dodson and Sikes on the present LA 1236. It opened around 1905-06 and continued until the 30s. Most of the customers were from the local community, but some customers listed below in the 1924 ledger probably worked in the nearby turpentine camp (based on interviews with surviving children of Buddy Payne).
