R. Crye, J. M. Teagle, J. M. Hyde and W. U. Drewett for Board of Aldermen of the Town of Winnfield. Mr. Hyde and Mr. Drewett are members of the present board and are offering for re-election. J. R. Crye is owner of Crye's Variety Stores here and at Jonesboro. He has been a citizen of Winnfield for the past eight years. He has given his approval and influence to securing better schools, better streets and a better town and community for his neighbors as well as for himself and family. The growth of his business for the short time he has been in Winnfield, proves him capable of handling the affairs of the town in a business way if elected. J. M. Hyde is one of the pioneer merchants of Winnfield, coming here with the Fisher Dry Goods Company when the town was young. He is now a member of the Board of Aldermen, and has been serving in that capacity for the past six years. He has always worked for what he thought was best for the town, and deserves credit for the progress and improvements made during his incumbency as alderman. J. M. Teagle is a native of Winn parish, born and reared in Winnfield and a descendant of one of the pioneer families of the parish. He is a progressive law abiding citizen that has the interest of our town at heart. He has an optimistic outlook for a bigger and better Winnfield. He is well qualified to serve as member of the council, and if elected will discharge his duties in a business manner. W. U. Drewett is owner of the Drewett Grocery store in Winnfield. He has been in business in Winnfield for the past twenty years, and is a member of the Board of Aldermen of Winnfield. During his term of office he has worked unceasingly with the other councilmen in securing cheaper light and water rates, street paving and many other improvements for the town, which he no doubt will continue to do if reelected for another term.
