Winnfield: Town Election Results, April 10, 1928

R. W. Buce Elected Mayor of Winnfield
     The town election held last Tuesday, R. W. Buce was elected mayor
of Winnfield by a majority of 35 votes over former Mayor Bumgardner. 
Lee J. Grigsby, John Mosley, W. H. Baker, W. U. Drewett, and J. M. Hyde
were elected councilmen.  M. E. Jolly and W. H. Peters will be in the
second run-off for marshal.
     The results of Tuesdays primary were: For Mayor, Buce 346, D. P. J.
Bumgardner, 311;  Marshal, M. E. Jolly 302, W. H. Peters 185, Henry D.
Smith 93, J. M. Breedlove 82. Aldermen, five high were nominated, Lee J.
Grigsby 414, W. H. Baker 412, W. U. Drewett 408, John Mosley 359, J. M.
Hyde 295, J. E. Carter 275, Eugene Beck 261, Eric Smith 235, F. A. Dow
230, Hassen Morris 166, and C. E. Tannehill 164.
