Eugene Love Named Asst. State Supt.

Eugene F. Love, Winn educator, has been named Assistant State Superintendent
of Education under Superintendent Louis Michot.  For the past year he has been
head of Secondary Education.

Love will be in charge of elementary, secondary, and vocational schools in his
new position.

He also will coordinate financing of all activities and will coordinate all
the bureaus in the State Department of Education.

One of his assignments will be to explain the program, as guest speaker, at
four regional meetings.

Love served as teacher, principal, and superintendent of schools in Winn
Parish and left the post of director of the Winn Career Center when appointed
to the job of head of Secondary Education last year.
