Dr. McCartney, Sholars, and Shaw Named On Boards

Recent appointments by Gov. Long included Dr. J. R. McCartney on the recently
organized State Board of Dentistry, and Bryant Sholars and Frank Shaw, Sr., as
members of the Board of Supervisors of Elections in Winn Parish.

The new election supervisors met for the first time Tuesday of this week when
they appointed commissioners and clerks for the November 2 general election.

Dr. McCartney was one of five members named on the State Dentistry Board.
